Chitra has a deep passion for working with children and an interest in exploring the different avenues that education can open up. During her own schooling years, she was unnerved by the usage of fear in education. She is interested in creating a fear-free environment, where children may use both conventional and non-conventional methods to learn in a way that is most conducive to their personality. With a degree in Fine Arts from Mumbai’s Raheja School of Arts and over a decade of experience in interior design, Falguni Nagda brings both creativity and structure to the classroom. Shilpa has completed her Bachelor of Arts degree with English Literature, Sociology, Economics, and Political Science. Pallavi holds an MBA degree with a major in Human Resources and a minor in Finance. She has also completed a diploma in Computer Science and a three-year course in vocal music, which reflects her interest in the arts. She had the opportunity to study in London, where she completed a summer vocational course and worked part-time teaching computer skills to school children. Her journey with children began when she volunteered as a parent monitor in a preschool in the USA. That experience touched her deeply and drew her into the world of early childhood education.

Jyothi transitioned to the field of education in 2016 after a 13-year career in the Government and IT sectors, inspired by the joy she found in working with children. With a background in Electronics and Communication Engineering, she has since been deeply involved in alternative education. Our Students Say About Us

Imara is an amazing school. They are flexible and they let students learn on their own pace. I like it as we learn with kids our own age and those who understand me. Instead of classes they have groups based on child’s age and learning experiences. Imara has plenty of breaks and free time for kids. I also like that they don’t put pressure on you. They have transportation and bus trackers. They also serve lunch so you don’t have to bring lunch from your home. All in all, Imara is an amazing school to join for kids, volunteers as well as facilitators.

Mysha

I like that we have less people in a class and we can interact more with others. I also like the open space available in classes. Camping is fun as well as a learning experience. We get good learning for managing emergencies in such trips. I also like that the school serves lunch.

Skandesh

My school has a very different learning system. They let us learn at our own pace. The projects are fun and you learn a lot. There are many fun activities like painting, drawing, blocks, sketching. It calms you down after the PE. There is a lot of free time for kids and there are school trips. I like the facilitators as they always encourage us. Also, you don’t need to bring lunch

Arhit

It is a very nice school because the facilitators understand children. Everyone in the school is kind to each other whether it is oldest kid or the youngest. In most schools boys keep to themselves and girls keep to themselves too. But in Imara I noticed that boys and girls play together. The teachers treat children very kindly and explain stuff to them in as many ways as it is needed. I also like sports because we have a proper routine and we meet our friends there
