Sowmya believes that there is great merit in alternate education as it helps children understand themselves, work on bettering themselves and nurture the skills required for life. Having experienced the real benefits of this alternate, non-conventional approach during the course of her children’s education, it felt like the most natural way of development.
Contributing initially as a parent volunteer, she then completed the Montessori Elementary Programme from Association Montessori Internationale. This helped her ease into the facilitator’s role in the alternate education landscape.
She has worked at the Lumbini Montessori House of Children followed by a short stint with the Little Scholars Montessori House of Children before joining us some years back
She is passionate about working with young children in multiple environments and gets immense joy in facilitating them discover themselves by understanding the world around them. Her other interests include music, dance and travel.
