Sithara

Sithara is committed to creating a classroom atmosphere that is stimulating and encouraging to children. Her pedagogical philosophy centres on the belief that educational frameworks should be based on careful observation of children and an understanding of their developmental stages, all rooted in a deep love for the child. This approach aims to foster a nurturing environment that supports the individual growth of each student.  She has been a teacher in the field of alternative education for the past twenty years. She has extensive experience with holistic education systems and has engaged with Education Seminars on child development, Music and Movement in the classroom and kindergarten education. Furthermore, under the Integral education pedagogy she has been part of curriculum development and teacher mentoring for primary school. Outside of school, Sithara has her interests in baking and gardening. Music is another one of her companions whether it be singing or playing the recorder. She is well versed in various forms of creative expression and is always looking for opportunities to experiment and enhance these skills.
